August 2010 - UNICEF has contracted Yo! to provide a two-way SMS gateway service in Uganda. We are to provide UNICEF with two-way SMS-accessibility to mobile subscribers regardless of the mobile (GSM) network they are subscribed to. On behalf of UNICEF, Yo! shall apply for the necessary authorizations for the number resources. We shall then activate the gateway service on YBS, our advanced call routing and telephony billing system, which is already interconnected with all GSM network operators in Uganda. |

July 2010 - The National Democratic Institute - www.ndi.org - has contracted Yo! to provide customized hosted IVR services, and SMS Gateway services. We shall provision and activate these services on our in-house SMS and IVR facilities. We shall leverage the power of our enterprise billing platform, YBS, and our Interactive Voice Response platform, INTELLIVR, and take the services live through our comprehensive Voice and SMS interconnections with the telephone network operators in Uganda. |

Yo! to Develop Scaled-up CKW Technology Platform |

March 2010 - In 2009, Yo! rapidly developed and deployed a comprehensive technology platform consisting a range of mobile and web applications for the pilot version of AppLab's Community Knowledge Worker (CKW) initiative . The pilot was successful. Grameen Foundation has since received a $4.7 million follow-on grant to expand the CKW initiative. Following successful development and deployment of the pilot platform, Yo! has, again, been contracted to play a significant role in designing and deploying a scaled up version of the technology platform. Yo! is to provide architecture and design advice, as well as managed software development resources. |
